Man’s best friend? More like man’s favorite comedian. If you own a dog, you’ll know just how funny they can be. Instead of saying the darnest things like children do, dogs do the funniest things! That's the reason why we love them so much. Below are the 10 funny things that dogs do.

1. Chasing their tails

We’ve seen it in cartoons, but we’ve also seen it in real life. Our furry friends love to chase their tails. They’ll run around and around in circles, not knowing that they’re chasing themselves! Most dogs don’t even realize that they have a tail. To them, it’s just a fluffy toy that they can never reach. 

2. Treating the vacuum like a monster

If you’ve ever vacuumed your home, you’ll notice that your dog is never around. That’s because they’re terrified of the vacuum. Dogs will treat vacuums like monsters, and that’s because of the loud noise it makes when turned on. If you want to scare your dog, chase them with a vacuum. It’s hilarious!

3. Barking at everything

Another funny thing that dogs do is they bark at literally everything. I’ve even seen a dog bark at a bottle of ketchup before. Dogs will bark at their own reflections, fireworks, and ambulances. Barking is a way that dogs communicate, so although it is natural, it’s also funny at the same time.

4. The poop walk

Many dogs when they go to poop, they rub their bottoms on the ground (usually grass) to wipe the poop off themselves. This is called the poop walk. You’ll know your dog is doing the poop walk when they’re in a pooping position, and then they slowly walk around. If you’ve ever seen a dog do the poop walk, you’ll know just how funny it is. At least we know the dog is just trying to clean themselves!

5. Hiding food they’ve eaten

Dogs will hide food they know they’re not supposed to eat. They’ll either hide it in a corner, under a pillow, or inside their mouths. It’s funny because as dog owners, we know exactly where our dogs hide their food. So, the next time your dog goes to hide food, find it and then show it to them. They’ll act like they have no idea whose it is. 

6. Running away from you, and then come back

Some dogs play in a very strange way, at least with humans. If you try to approach your dog, they’ll sometimes run away from you, and then come back. Then if you try to pet them, they run away again – and the cycle repeats.

7. Trying to jump on things they can’t reach

If you own a couch that’s too high for your dog to reach, they’ll constantly try to jump on it. It’s hilarious seeing your dog jump on something they can’t reach. It’s like seeing a shorter person reach the top shelf in a grocery store.

8. The “all food is mine” act

Whenever you take out some food, your dog will immediately run to you. Then, they’ll sit down right in front of you, expecting you to feed them. Even if you move away from them, they’ll still follow you thinking that the food is theirs. Oh those silly dogs, humans have to eat too!

9. Refusing to get up

Isn’t it adorable and funny at the same time when your dog refuses to get up? They’ll just lay there whining like a teenager would in bed. If you try to pick them up, they’ll make themselves feel 10 times heavier than normal!

10. Biting air blown at them

Dogs have very sensitive ears, so if you blow at them, they’ll start biting the air. Try blowing air at your dog’s face with a blow-dryer (on the cold setting of course), it’s hilarious!
